Oculto opticians, with a space of just 33.50 square metres, stands at 5 Gundulićeva Street in Zagreb. In this space the designers were tasked to locate a sales area, an area for eye tests, sanitary facilities and storage. The existing layout was the trigger for the basic functional execution. Using minimalistic construction interventions, the front of the shop became the space for showcasing glasses, while the rear and the gallery hold the necessary auxiliary contents.

The idea was to make the shop the opposite of the usually cold, illuminated space of an optician’s, and so the interior was designed as a warm, intimate space, pleasant to be in, in an attempt to lure customers to stay longer and explore products and details.
